The Eco Design Advisor Network joined with advisors from Community Energy Network in technical sessions at the Wellington during the 2011 EDA Conference.
Along with the Sustainable Living Education Trust, the organisations have formed a partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding. The agreement allows the parties to collaborate on projects, conduct joint training and refer clients to each other where more efficient. Together they provide a nationwide network of home sustainability advisors, operating at several levels within the community, and as a result present a comprehensive package for funding agencies to channel projects through.
Here's feedback from Community Energy Network Executive Officer Sally Blackwell:
Hi Richard
Thanks again for all the effort you and Sarah put in to pull together the EDA workshops last week, and for making the sessions accessible to CEN-affiliated folk.
Feedback from the advisors is that the sessions were really useful and informative. The other bit of feedback was that it was valuable just to strengthen ties with you all and for some it provided a much needed sense of community and collegiality.
For me (aside from it always being nice to see you guys...!), it was great to spend a couple of days with a group of interested, informed and motivated practitioners thinking about advice and behaviour change.
Thanks for all your support!
